Sustainable development is an essential part of our business strategy, and our strong commitment is embodied in our vision: ’Creating a Safe Society.’ Our long-term goal is to offer services and products that enhance safety and security across all areas of society – without compromising the health of our planet. We contribute positively to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which focuses on making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
For over a century, we have been safeguarding communities. Now, we are looking ahead, and our ambition is clear: To be a pioneer in 360-degree security, becoming an industry champion in the sustainable transition, and we are confident that we can achieve this together with our customers, suppliers and partners. Our vision drives us and permeates our sustainability strategy titled ‘Securing Our Future,’ reflecting our commitment to a safer tomorrow.

Securing our Future – the Garda Group Sustainability Strategy
We manage our business and support our employees by adhering to recognised frameworks, scientific principles, and the expectations of various stakeholders, including employees, customers, and investors. Our sustainability strategy ‘Securing our Future’, is grounded in the results of the double materiality analysis. It is structured around three key pillars, each with specific ambition statements, objectives, and goals.
The results of our double materiality analysis highlight four clear focus areas for our business:
- Climate change
- Use of resources and circularity
- Our own workforce
- Workers in the value chain

Governance, documentation and policies
Sustainability is a core responsibility embedded at every level of our organisation. The Board of Directors and the Management lead these efforts, ensuring that our priorities are integrated across all business operations.
However, responsibility for our practices lies not only at the top, but extends to every department and employee, fostering a culture of togetherness and shared commitment to sustainable growth. The initiatives are a central part of our operations, driving our mission to create lasting positive impact.
At Garda Group, we maintain a range of policies and procedures related to QHSE, procurement, ethical business, and sustainability. Our policies are the backbone of our organisational structure and culture.

We’re constantly evaluating and implementing proactive health and safety practices to reduce workplace accidents. All our companies are certified or in the process of becoming ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 compliant. Some also hold ISO 27001 certifications. These standards reflect our commitment to environmental responsibility and employee wellbeing.
